Toddler and Primary Admissions:
Parents are invited to visit the Academy to tour the school and walk through the classrooms. Next, we invite the child to visit the classroom. This visit provides an opportunity for a teacher to interact with your child. This will be much like a playtime experience. Parents are present for a time, or they may visit another classroom. This process takes about an hour.
Elementary Admissions:
Montessori Centre Academy welcomes transfer students from both private and public schools and at any grade level. Children whose abilities are not being challenged and/or properly developed are welcome to apply. All perspective students will need to be evaluated to determine the best placement in our program. To do this we invite the child to spend some time in the classroom with a group of students and teachers. During this time the teacher is able to determine placement and the child can begin to feel comfortable in the classroom. If after this evaluation, it is decided that placement in our program is not in the best interest of the child, we can aid the parent by giving alternative resources.
